Do You Wish Upon A Star?

THE DAILY Q #250

InQuire more: The song, “When You Wish upon a Star” was written by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington for Walt Disney’s 1940 adaptation of Pinocchio. The original version was sung by Cliff Edwards in the character of Jiminy Cricket, but the song only ran over the credits of the film.  It was the first Disney song to win an Oscar.

When You Wish Upon A Star

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
Like dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and pulls you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dream comes true
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and pulls you through
When you wish upon a star
