InQuire more:  Our childhood tradition in the snowy woods of northern Connecticut was to gather freshly fallen snow in a big mug and pour maple syrup over it for a homemade winter snow cone. (Grown-ups could spice it up with the addition of an adult beverage;) You can also whip up some delicious maple sugar candy by pouring a stripe of boiled maple sugar over snow and rolling up the chewy candy on a popsicle stick.
